Malori Crowett is the main character from Mage and Demon Queen. She is a highly skilled young student mage. She has a huge crush on Queen Velverosa, which is the main plot of the story.

- Despite the arduous journey to the Demon Tower and the 115 floors of fighting, Malori consistently reaches Queen Vel's floor to see her, with the goal of asking her out.
- Even when Queen Vel rejects her and kills her, she returns to her goal right back after respawning.
- At the start of the series, Malori states she has already visited 12 times (and died all 12 times).
- She is able to convince most of Queen Vel's generals allow Malori through because they think that Malori and Velverosa would make a good couple.
- Her driving force to improve her skills as an adventurer is her love for Queen Vel.
- She sleeps hugging a pillow with a picture (wanted poster) of Queen Vel attached to it.
- She becomes very flustered at innocent acts: when fantasizing about lying in bed with Queen Vel while holding hands; when Queen Vel accepted Malori's joke request to kiss her; and when Queen Vel hugged Malori for the first time before they both promptly passed out.
- Though when she is first shown to be revived after dying to Queen Vel's magic, she appears very aroused. This happens frequently whenever Queen Vel shows off her power.
- When asked about her plans for the future by an academy official, the first 20 career paths Malori can think of involve serving or loving Queen Vel.
- Malori temporarily gives up trying to win Velverosa's heart because she goes through a realization that what she's doing isn't right. It isn't until she ends up accidentally having a heart-to-heart with a disguised Velverosa that she is able to fully appreciate her in earnest.
- Married Velverosa and has had many children in the epilogue.
