Hijiri Ryouyou is the protagonist of the yuri manga Okiku-san wa Ichatsukitai (Miss Okiku Wants to Possess). The most powerful and beautiful exorcist of modern times. Because of her fame, she have became rather disliked among the exorcists. She has an emotional, expressive and introverted personality. She lives alone and feels disappointment over her lonely life.

Backstory[]
- When Hijiri was in high school she admired her fellow classmate, Hoshimi Meguru, and she was pleasantly surprised that she can vaguely see ghosts as well, and wants to be her friend.
- Over the subsequent months, her friendship was focused on. During that time, Meguru more or less stated she is attracted to Hijiri. While Hijiri was initially surprised, she doesn't seem to mind it.
- When confronted by other girls regarding her friendship with Meguru, Hijiri bluntly states she believes Meguru likes her more than them.
- Hijiri decided to drop out of school to focus on training to become an exorcist after Meguru was nearly killed during an altercation with a ghost. Despite severing ties with Meguru, a photo of the two of them appears to be one of her only prized possessions.
Volume 01[]
- One morning, she panicked once Okiku kissed her on the cheek, and Okiku expressed her wish of flirting with her.
- Her first kiss was with Okiku.
- Allowed Okiku to possess her, so Okiku can cook food for her.
- Hugged Okiku while she was asleep on her bed.
- During the epilogue of first volume, she allowed Okiku to stay in the bath with her as long as she was naked. Afterwards, she fondles her. She gets turned on by the fact Okiku was turned on by her touching her, and she initiated a kiss between them while she is still naked in the bath.
Volume 02[]
- She appears to be keeping tabs on Meguru to see how she is doing.
- She becomes concerned when Okiku pushes herself too far.
- While she is initially surprised when Okiku accidentally strips her of her clothes in her sleep, she ultimately doesn't seem to mind too much, especially after Okiku seems to recover.

- In Hijiri's backstory, she makes no mention of her parents, and she solely focuses on her 'close friendship' with Meguru.
- Unlike other protagonists of Yuri manga, Hijiri appears to acknowledge the fact she is a lesbian from the beginning without too much of an issue due to finding other girls, Okiku and Meguru, attractive and being fine with kissing Okiku on multiple occasions.
