Klaudia Valentz (クラウディア・バレンツ Kuraudia Barentsu) is a main character from the video game Atelier Ryza.

- Is saved by Reisalin Stout in the forest, becomes fast friends with her after this incident.
- Often invites Ryza over to her house for tea and cookies where they make conversation.
- Initially only feels comfortable playing her flute in front of Ryza and no one else.
- Begs Ryza to take her adventuring with her.
- Has fears about being treated differently and left behind, desperately wants Ryza to treat her like a true friend.
- Has never really had any close friends before, is very embarrassed and nervous asking Ryza if they are friends. Claims that she wanted to "make it official".
- Says she gets her strength from Ryza, asks her if she will "Stand by me, and... lend me your courage?".
- Admits to having a "secret crush" on someone near the end of the game. Because the only person she is shown being considerably close with is Ryza, it can be inferred that this is who she's talking about.
- At the end of their first adventure together, she clasps Ryza's hand and talks about how she wishes to travel with her more in the future.
In Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy[]
- When reuniting with Ryza after 3 years apart, she runs up and throws her into a hug. Is ecstatic to see her again and wants to spend as much time together as they can.
- Worries about Ryza being around potentially dangerous people, wants to accompany her so she isn't worried.
- Says that reuniting with Ryza is "Like a dream come true!"
- Admits that she was very lonely during the time they spent apart.
- It is revealed that during the time between the first and second game she sent Ryza a of letters. (Seriously the stack is huge).
- Catches herself getting jealous when she sees Ryza having fun with another woman.
- When Ryza suspects her of being with a man, Klaudia instantly shuts this down and says that they're an unwelcome business associate. Furthermore, after this incident, Klaudia is very adamant about making sure Ryza doesn't date just anyone even if they're nice, stating that "You're very cute, you know, so you have to be extra careful."
- After playing her flute again for Ryza, she says she loves the way that Klaudia plays. Klaudia responds by saying she can feel her face getting hot.
- Ryza comments about a flower "If you don't grab it now, who knows when you'll get another chance". Klaudia responds by saying this is how she feels about Ryza. Confides in her the fears she has about being separated from Ryza again, and not knowing when they'll be able to see each other again.
- During this conversation, she admits to Ryza that "I want to keep you all to myself, and enjoy every last minute we have together". Afterwards she is embarrassed and leaves quickly, asking Ryza to forget she said anything.
- After an initial trip to explore ruins with Ryza, she says she had a lot of fun and is glad she got to go on an adventure with her again. States that she feels blessed to be able to go on adventures with Ryza again, and doesn't want that feeling to end here. After Ryza quickly states that Klaudia can keep coming with her, Klaudia grasps her hand and says "I'm so happy we can be together again".
- When Ryza makes them matching bracelets, she states that she and Klaudia will always be best friends no matter what. Klaudia is shocked and says that she wanted to keep Ryza to herself, but is now embarrassed for making her worry. When Ryza further comforts her, Klaudia is very happy and that she'll "cherish this bracelet forever".
- During a scene where Klaudia is with Ryza and Patty at a cafe, Patty states that the two of them have been going overboard recently, and they tell her that they want to spend as much time together as they can because they don't know how long they'll get to be together again. Patty feels like a third wheel, and wishes to leave, stating that "I now understand the relationship you two have. You want to enjoy the time you have left together, and I want to respect your wishes".
- Despite asking for Patty to stay, Ryza and Klaudia keep zoning off into their own world, often forgetting that someone else is there.
- Klaudia states that "There wasn't a single day that I didn't think about all of you. Whether I was working, eating, or right before I fall asleep, I constantly found myself wondering what you were all up to..."
- In the later half of the game, Ryza experiences moments where she passes out while exploring ruins. In these occasions Klaudia is always the one most concerned about her.
- When Ryza comes to tell her that she's leaving to return home again, Klaudia is very upset. She says that it hurts to watch someone leave, and that ever since the moment they last separated, she wanted to go on another adventure with Ryza. She then clarifies that it didn't need to be an adventure, "I just wanted us to be together again". Even though her wish came true, she still worries about how long it'll be before they see each other again, stating how she really wants them to be together again someday.
- When parting ways, Klaudia states that "The bond we share will never change". In the ending image she is shown crying while grasping Ryza's hand and blushing.
In Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key[]
- When being reunited with Ryza after another year apart, the two embrace again happily.
- It is revealed that Klaudia has sent Ryza even more letters in the past year. (Again, the stack is huge).
- Klaudia states that it's "So nice to see you after such a long time. Letters are nice, but it's best to see each other in person".
- She admits to feeling jealous of Ryza's relationship with her childhood friends, and the time they spent together before she was there.
- Klaudia once again invites Ryza over for tea parties, making cookies especially for her.
- When boarding a ship, Ryza offers Klaudia a hand after jumping in, which Klaudia takes as she gets in herself.
- Their friends state that Klaudia is a lot like Ryza, and they would have been too much to handle if they were together as kids. The two laugh this off and Klaudia winks at her.
- When asked why shes always prepared to go out, Klaudia says that she always looks forward to adventuring with Ryza so she makes sure she's prepared.
- In a heart to heart with Ryza, she feels comfortable sharing her thoughts. She says that she is very thankful to Ryza, and credits her with helping her family stay together.
- Ryza's parents thank her for "taking good care of Ryza", and even invite her over for dinner.
- While walking with Ryza, she brings up that she has had offers made to her by suitors, but she turned them all down. She says that "I don't think it's true that you have to get married" and that not doing so is just as valid of a way of being. However, she also says that the reason she turned them down was because "I wanted to keep adventuring with you, Ryza".
- Says to Ryza that she shouldn't be laid back, and that with her body type she should train herself to avoid gaining weight. In the event description, Ryza says that she thinks Klaudia is staring at her.
- Klaudia tells Ryza that because she counts on her she is able to try as hard as she does. Klaudia is hesitant to share her thoughts with Ryza, but when Ryza tells her she doesn't need to hesitate, Klaudia blushes and says "I-If you say so... Yeah, uh, thanks. Someday, Ryza, let me talk to you about this properly".
- Despite saying that she doesn't wish to get married, she still expresses feelings off wanting to start her own family some day. Ryza wonders if she'll ever start a family too, and Klaudia says that you never know what will happen.
- At one point Klaudia says "I just feel more and more grateful that you're here".
- Klaudia admits that she wants to keep doing more things with Ryza, and is very worried that she'll somehow make a make something dangerous that could make her disappear. Ryza says that she doesn't need to worry because she has a close friend who would stop her if she tried, Klaudia smiles and says she's correct.
- Near the end of their adventure, Klaudia confides in Ryza once again about her fears of the two of them having to go their separate ways again. She says they should commemorate their memories with proof that their paths crossed again.
- When Ryza makes something that causes her to pass out temporarily, Klaudia is very worried to the point of tears.
- Near the end of their adventure, Klaudia tells Ryza that "I'm glad to have come this far with you, I can say that with all my heart. I feel like I'm saying goodbye".
- She gets a letter from her father telling her to not be "spoiled by Reisalin Stout".
- She tells Ryza "You do give me energy and motivation to keep chasing my dreams. This plan I have is like a dream... You make me feel like I can go down this path and chase it."
- During their goodbye scene, Klaudia says that "At the end of our journey, I wondered to myself why I did not ask you to travel with me". Klaudia and Ryza both respond in sync that "It's like we're already on the road together!"
- After this, Ryza asks Klaudia to "Keep her company a little while longer", and Klaudia swiftly agrees.
