Yū Naruse is a minor character in No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys' Fault I’m Not Popular!. She was Tomoko and Kotomi's classmate in middle school and is still their friend. She got a boyfriend some time before chapter 3, but breaks up with him eventually.

- In chapter 21, she hugs Tomoko, surprising her.
- In chapter 54, she feels left behind when she notices Tomoko and Kotomi share intetests she doesn't.
- In chapter 100, she reveals to Tomoko and Kotomi that she broke up with her boyfriend due to preferring to spend time with her female friends (not only Tomoko and Kotomi, but also the ones from her school).
- In chapter 124, it is shown she might be jealous of Kotomi and Tomoko for having other friends. They're then joined by Yuri Tamura and Mako Tanaka, who happened to be in the walking by. Yuri, in turn, seems to be jealous of Yuu and Tomoko's closeness.
- After Yuri and Mako decide to leave, Yū asks them for their Line contacts, saying she was glad to hear about Tomoko's high school life and that she hopes Yuri can tell her more, while saying she'll tell Yuri more about their middle school days.
- She's currently studying so she can go to the same college as Tomoko and the others, with Asuka's help.
